Policy
Terms of service
Last updated 30 October 2026
These terms govern your use of Toolbox POD, operated by Toolbox Brands LLC. By installing the app, placing an order (with or without an account) or buying a plan, you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind it.
What the service is
Toolbox POD prints and ships blank-stock garments to your shoppers on your behalf. You connect a Shopify store (or your own software through our API), upload artwork, publish products, and we produce and ship each order as it is paid for.
You can also order shirts for yourself on our website, with or without an account. When you do, we sell the shirts to you directly, our returns and refunds policy applies to your order, and the parts of these terms about your shoppers and your store do not apply to you.
If you sell to shoppers, we are your supplier, not your merchant of record. Your contract with your shopper is yours. You set your own retail prices, you take your shopper’s payment, and you are responsible for your own storefront, your own tax collection and your own customer service.
Your account
- You must give accurate account details and keep them current.
- You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by staff you invite and by any API or AI client you connect.
- Roles are Owner, Manager and Viewer. Only an Owner can link a store, manage payment cards, buy, change or cancel a plan on our website, or change who has access.
- Tell us promptly if you believe your account or a connected client has been compromised.
Artwork and your rights in it
You keep ownership of everything you upload. You grant us the licence we need to produce, print and ship your orders — to store, reproduce, resize and print your artwork on the garments you order, and to pass the resulting print files to our print warehouse.
You confirm that you own or are licensed to use everything you upload, and that printing it does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark, publicity or other rights. You are asked to confirm this again before each publication on our website, and that confirmation is recorded. When you approve or publish a design through our API or through an AI client you have connected, or pay for an order on our website without an account, that step is your confirmation under these terms, and we record who took it, how and when.
We may refuse or stop producing anything we reasonably believe infringes a third party’s rights, is unlawful, or is hateful, sexually exploitative or otherwise abusive. We will tell you why.
AI designs and reference images
The app can draw a design for you with AI, from your description, from reference images you upload (a screenshot, a photo or a sketch), or both. A reference is recreated closely, so upload only what you may reproduce. These terms apply every time you upload a reference or generate a design, whether in the app, through our API or through an AI client you connect; there is no separate box to tick. Each design you generate, and each AI mockup image, uses one image from your monthly AI image allowance (see “AI image allowance and plans”).
Each time, you confirm that:
- you own each reference image and any text, logo or artwork in it, or you have permission from whoever does to use it this way;
- your descriptions and change requests do not ask us to copy anyone else’s artwork, trademark or likeness without their permission; and
- you are responsible for the designs made from your references and descriptions, and for everything you print and sell with them, exactly as for artwork you upload yourself (see “Artwork and your rights in it”).
We keep a private record of every reference you upload and every description and change request you send, with who sent it and when, and the version of these terms it was sent under. We use it to make your designs, to answer support requests and rights complaints, and to enforce these terms. References are never shown to other accounts or published; they are passed only to the services that draw the designs for us.
We may refuse a reference, a description or a design, and take down a design or a product made from it, if we reasonably believe it infringes someone’s rights, is unlawful, or is hateful, sexually exploitative or otherwise abusive. We will tell you why. A rights complaint about an AI design is handled the same way as one about artwork you uploaded. Send rights complaints, including DMCA notices, to support@toolboxpod.com.
An account that repeatedly infringes others’ rights is suspended: while it is under review it cannot generate designs or upload references, its new orders are held, and we may close it (see “Suspension and termination”).
Orders, quotes and payment
- Every order is quoted before it is produced, and the quote is locked before it is charged. We charge exactly the locked amount — never more.
- A Shopify order is charged to your saved card, through our payment processor, once the shopper has paid you and the order has been sent to us for fulfillment in Shopify. Order charges are never added to your Shopify bill. An order placed on our website, through our API or through an AI client you connect is charged when it is submitted for purchase. A failed order charge puts the order on hold; it is not retried automatically, and the Owner can retry it after fixing the card. (Plan renewals on our website are retried: see “AI image allowance and plans”.)
- If you order on our website without an account, you pay on the checkout page. The card you pay with is used for that one payment and is not saved, and your order is placed once the payment succeeds.
- If you save a card in your account, you authorize us to charge it for later orders as stated when you save it.
- We email our own receipt for every paid order. Charges appear on your card statement as TB* TOOLBOX POD.
- Prices, shipping rates and production timings may change. A change never reprices an order whose quote has already been locked.
- A direct (non-Shopify) order is one recipient and carries one flat shipping fee shown at the time of the order.
- Card details are handled entirely by our payment processor. We never see or store a full card number.
AI image allowance and plans
The free allowance. Your account gets 20 AI images a month at no charge. Each AI design you generate and each AI mockup image uses one image from the same monthly pool. The month is the calendar month in Coordinated Universal Time (UTC), so it resets at 00:00 UTC on the 1st. You do not need a card on file to generate AI images or to publish products. Orders wait on hold until a card is on file. AI images requested through our developer API need a paid plan.
Plans. A paid plan adds images to that pool every month:
- Plus: 100 more images a month, for $20 a month.
- Pro: 250 more images a month, for $50 a month.
Plans are monthly only. Unused images, free or paid, do not roll over to the next month. Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax, if any, is shown before you pay. Where you choose and pay for a plan depends on how you use Toolbox POD:
- If your account has a Shopify store connected, you choose, change and cancel your plan in your Shopify admin, on Shopify’s plan page for the app, and Shopify bills it with your other Shopify charges. An Owner or Manager can open that page; Shopify decides which of your staff may approve the charge.
- If your account has no Shopify store connected, an Owner buys, changes and cancels the plan in Billing on our website, and we charge it to your card.
An account has one plan at a time, billed one way. A plan already billed on our website stays billed there until it is cancelled, and a plan billed through one Shopify store is changed only in that store.
Billing through Shopify. Shopify charges a Shopify-billed plan on its own billing cycle, with any trial, proration and renewal date shown on its plan page, and Shopify’s terms for app charges apply to it. Once Shopify reports the plan active or in a trial, we add the plan’s monthly images for the current month and for every month it stays in force. A change made on Shopify’s plan page takes effect as Shopify shows there, and a downgrade never lowers the images you already have for the current month. Shopify handles a failed app charge; when Shopify ends the plan, you keep its images for the rest of that month and have the free 20 from the next.
Billing and renewal on our website. When you start a plan you authorize us to charge your default card, through our payment processor, every month until you cancel. Your first charge covers the rest of the current month, prorated, and you get the same share of the plan’s images straight away. After that, every plan renews automatically on the 1st of each month (UTC) at the full monthly price, and the month’s plan images are added once that payment succeeds. We email a receipt for each plan charge. Plans are charged without you present, so a card that asks for extra authentication (such as 3-D Secure) may be refused; nothing is charged when that happens, and you can use another card.
Changing or cancelling on our website. You can change or cancel a plan at any time in Billing.
- An upgrade takes effect at once: we charge the prorated difference for the rest of the month and add the matching share of the extra images. If that charge fails, nothing changes.
- A downgrade takes effect at your next renewal. You keep your current plan and its images until then.
- A cancellation takes effect at the end of the current month. You keep the plan and its images until then, and you can undo the cancellation before it takes effect. From the next month you have the free 20.
Uninstalling the app. Uninstalling the app from your Shopify store cancels a plan billed through that store: Shopify ends the app’s charges. It does not cancel a plan billed on our website; cancel that in Billing.
Failed payments on our website. If a renewal payment fails, our payment processor retries it for about two weeks. No plan images are added for that month until the payment succeeds; you keep the free 20 meanwhile. If the payment still fails after the retries, the plan is cancelled and your account returns to the free 20. You can start a new plan at any time.
Refunds. Plan charges are not refundable, however the plan is billed, including for unused images, a downgrade or a cancellation part way through a month. We may make a refund at our discretion (for example, after a billing error); a refund does not take back images already added to your account.
Limits and availability. Your monthly allowance is a maximum, not a guarantee of throughput. AI image generation runs on shared capacity and third-party services:
- each account can start at most 15 AI images a day (UTC), whatever its monthly allowance, and we may apply other limits on how many runs you start in a day or at once, as shown in the app;
- when demand is high, generation may be slower or paused for a time;
- when our main image model is unavailable, we may draw your images with a backup image model, which can look different.
An unavailable or slow service does not entitle you to a refund or to extra images. An image that is never produced is not counted against your allowance; an image our service produced counts, even if the rest of the run then fails. While a run is in progress or under review, its images are held against your allowance until the outcome is known.
Changes to plans and prices. We may change a plan’s price, its images or the plans we offer. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price increase or a reduction in a plan’s images applies to your plan, and the change applies from the first renewal after that notice period. If you do not want the change, cancel before it applies. A change never alters a month you have already paid for.
Production, shipping and cancellation
Ship-by dates are estimates based on our production calendar, not guarantees. Once an order has been sent to the warehouse it is generally too late to change or cancel it — contact support immediately and we will do what we can, but we cannot promise to stop work already started.
Raising a support request is not a cancellation. An order is only cancelled when we tell you it is, and the record of that shows in the app.
Quality, reprints and claims
If a garment arrives defective, misprinted or damaged, tell us through the order’s support form (or, if you ordered without an account, the help form on your order’s status page or by email) and we will assess it. Where we are at fault we reprint or refund at our discretion, except that for an order you placed for yourself you choose a reprint or a refund, as our returns and refunds policy says; an approved covered replacement is produced at no charge to you.
We are not responsible for artwork that was low resolution, badly placed or wrongly colored when you approved it. The app warns you before approval when the effective print resolution is below our recommended threshold, and refuses outright below our hard minimum.
Your obligations to your shoppers
You must publish your own privacy policy, terms and returns policy, collect and remit the taxes you owe, and answer your own shoppers. Where a shopper asks you to access or erase their data, Shopify’s compliance webhooks carry that request to us and we act on it — see our privacy policy and our data processing addendum.
If you connect a Whop business, you authorize us to receive your Whop orders and your buyers’ shipping details from Whop and use them to fulfill your orders. When you uninstall the app we delete that personal data within 30 days, except order and payment records we keep for accounting, which no longer identify your buyers. An AI-image plan bought through Whop is billed by Whop and ends at the end of its period when you uninstall the app.
If you connect a WooCommerce store, you authorize us to read and write your store’s products and orders through the API key you approve, to receive your store’s orders and your buyers’ shipping details, and to use them to fulfill your orders and add tracking to them. When you disconnect, you choose whether the products we published are set to draft, kept or trashed; when you delete our plugin, they are set to draft. We delete your buyers’ personal data within 30 days of the disconnect, except order and payment records we keep for accounting, which no longer identify your buyers.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify store. Uninstalling deletes our stored access token for that store; your account, designs and order history remain, any order already paid for is still produced and shipped, and an AI image plan billed through that store ends (Shopify ends the app’s charges). A plan billed on our website keeps renewing until you cancel it in Billing.
We may suspend intake for an account that is not paying, that is abusing the service, or that is the subject of a credible rights complaint. We will tell you why, and we will not cancel work already paid for without telling you first.
Service availability
We do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or withdraw parts of the service, and we will give reasonable notice of a change that materially reduces what you already rely on. AI image generation has its own limits and availability terms (see “AI image allowance and plans”).
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost sales, lost data or indirect or consequential loss. Our total liability for any claim relating to an order is limited to what you paid us for that order, and for any claim relating to an AI image plan, to the plan charges you paid us in the three months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes, governing law and contact
We may update these terms; the “Last updated” date above changes when we do, and we notify merchants by email of material changes. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it. Changes to plan prices and images follow the notice in “AI image allowance and plans”.
